UNILAG IN TOWN- A Restage of 2023 Convocation Play
This is an initiative of the first female Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola FAS. Who has empowered Chairman of Culture and Ethics Committee, Dr. Sheyi Kehnny, to restage 2023 Convocation Play of Femi Osofisan’s Esu and the Vagabond Minstrels – a public presentation of the colourful, imaginative, and skilful performance of the students of the University of Lagos. The play reveals materialism as an unprofitable venture as farmers’ uprising against the government through imposed taxes. This play is directed by Dr. Felix Emoruwa invokes the usefulness of the categories of literature through the well-crafted performance of UNILAG students. There will be some side attractions and special appearances by some renowned alumni of the University of Lagos, such as Brodashaggi , Machigoldpranks , etc.
